Carolina Penagos

Carolina Penagos is an Origination Associate at Hilltop Capital Partners, where she is responsible for sourcing and qualifying new lending opportunities, managing relationships across the Firm's institutional client base, and preparing transactions for Investment Committee review.

Carolina joins Hilltop from Anchor Loans, a leading private lender specialising in residential real estate finance across the United States, where she was an Originations Associate and, prior to that, a Sales Analyst. At Anchor she operated within a small origination team responsible for the substantial majority of firm-wide origination volume, running a live institutional pipeline across the full deal cycle from prospecting and qualification through preliminary underwriting review and Investment Committee presentation. She also led the migration of the originations CRM from HubSpot to Salesforce.

Before Anchor, Carolina spent time at J.P. Morgan Asset Management covering institutional sales across the Andean region, Central America and the Caribbean, and began her career on J.P. Morgan Chase's currencies and emerging markets trading floor. Carolina holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad de Los Andes.
